About

We believe how we treat people matters.

What is Civil Living?

Civil Living is the practice of being intentional about how we treat one another. It means choosing empathy over assumption, understanding over judgment, and connection over conflict. We believe small choices in the way we communicate, listen, and respond to others can create meaningful change in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

The essence of Civil Living is being mindful of others first. Having an active interest in the well-being of others. Civil Living is a positive and uplifting energy to practice throughout our neighborhoods, workplace and communities to impact overall the betterment of society.

The Big Question…

Does Civil Living Matter?

Civil Living is the practice of being intentional about how we treat one another.

It means choosing empathy over assumption, understanding over judgment, and connection over conflict.

We believe small choices in the way we communicate, listen, and respond to others can create meaningful change in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

What does Civil Living look like in practice?

Civil Living is built on everyday behaviors that help us create more respectful, compassionate, and connected relationships.

Why I Started Civil Living

Almost every day, we encounter moments of rudeness—sometimes in words, sometimes in actions. We see it in the way we communicate through texts and phone calls, in online conversations, on the road, and in the everyday interactions we have with one another.

These moments may seem small, but they shape the way we experience the world and the way we treat the people around us.

I believe we have a choice.

Even in difficult circumstances, every person has the ability to choose kindness, show grace, listen with intention, and treat others with respect. A Civil Living mindset begins with recognizing that choice and carrying it with us wherever we go.

My hope is that we can each become more intentional about the way we show up—in our neighborhoods, our workplaces, our homes, and our communities. When we choose empathy over judgment, understanding over conflict, and kindness over indifference, we have the power to create meaningful change around us.

That is why I believe in Civil Living.

We don't have to change the entire world at once. We simply have to recognize the difference we can make in the spaces and relationships immediately around us.

Each of us can make a difference in the world we all share.

Just think about it...

If you think you're too small to make a difference, you haven't been in bed with a mosquito.
